This study is recruiting individuals between the ages of 18 and 80 who have been on a stable dose of either Wegovy or Zepbound for at least 3 months, who’ve had some success with weight loss, and who might be interested in participating in a trial for an oral, daily GLP-1 pill.

Participants must:

• Be on one of the following injectable GLP-1s, with a stable dose for the last 90 days

  • Wegovy 1.7mg or 2.4mg

  • Zepbound 10mg, 12.5mg or 15mg

• Be taking the “name brand” version of the GLP-1 (i.e., not a compounded version)

• Not have had a surgical treatment for obesity (except for liposuction or a “tummy tuck”)

• Not have had cancer within the past 5 years (except for skin cancer or prostate cancer)

• Not have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus

• Not have been diagnosed with heart failure

• Other eligibility criteria apply

Qualified participants in the study will be randomly assigned (like by the flip of a coin) to either stay on their current injectable or begin taking the study medication (daily pills, instead of their injectable), for a total of 3 months. The study lasts approximately 4 ½ months, including the Screening Visit, a 4-week Lead-In Period, and a 3-month Treatment Period.  The study requires a total of 12 visits to TopLine, and involves blood draws, ECGs, physical exams, measurement of vital signs and waist circumference, and other non-invasive assessments. 

COMPENSATION

Participants are compensated up to $4,885 for participation in the study.  Additionally, participants receive:

• A $52 gas and travel stipend at each visit

• Reimbursement for monthly gym membership up to $50 during the study

• Weekly delivery of lunch and dinner from BistroMD during the study

• Up to 90 protein shakes (e.g., FairLife Chocolate 30g Protein shake)

• Reimbursement for monthly out of pocket costs or copays for Wegovy or Zepbound for up to 12 months following study completion
